What is Pharmacokinetics?

Pharmacokinetics is the quantitative measurement of drug absorption, distribution, and elimination (excretion and metabolism), and includes the rate processes for drug movement into the body, within the body, and out of the body.

One sentence to anchor the whole chapter: pharmacokinetics = what the BODY does to the DRUG, measured with numbers. It tracks four journeys - Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, Excretion (ADME) - and the RATES at which each happens.
